Excellence Program

 

The Faculty of Business Administration offers the Excellence Program for first year students. This program enables students who have been conditionally accepted to the University of Regina with an early conditional admission average of 85% or greater, the opportunity to directly enter the Faculty of Business Administration. 

 

The advantages of the Excellence Program include:

  • individual counseling to pick courses and assistance with registering

  • a $500 entrance scholarship

  • membership with the UR Business Student Society

  • belonging to the Faculty of Business Administration in your first year of university study

  • special recognition for being a part of the Excellence Program

Requests for Reconsideration to be in the Excellence Program

Saskatchewan students who did not have an Early Conditional Acceptance average of 85% (or greater) but do have a final Grade 12 admission average of 85% (or greater) may submit a written request to the Faculty of Business Administration to be reconsidered as Year One Business Administration student in the Excellence program.

 

These requests must be submitted in writing to the Faculty of Business Administration.

 

Final grades, in the following subjects, will be used to determine if a student meets the requirements for the Excellence program:

 

  • English Language Arts A30 and B30

  • Math B30

  • One 30-level language, social science or fine arts (List B on pages 8 & 9 of the University of Regina Undergraduate Calendar)

  • One additional 30-level course (List A or B on pages 8 & 9 of the University of Regina Undergraduate Calendar)

 

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their appeal and successful applicants will be awarded the $500 Entrance Scholarship as well as have a transfer processed from the faculty where they are enrolled in pre-Business Administration to Business Admin Year One in the Faculty of Business Administration.
