LLC Lecture Series: Anthropology of Cruise Ships
Join us for a captivating lecture by Dr. Tobias Sperlich, Associate Professor and Associate Dean in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Regina. Drawing from his extensive ethnographic research in Oceania, Dr. Sperlich will discuss his connection to the intriguing realm of Polynesian prehistory. Beyond the academic lens, he will share personal anecdotes from his unique experiences lecturing on cruise ships, providing a fascinating travelogue that offers a rare glimpse into both the rich cultural heritage of Polynesia and the vibrant tapestry of cruise ship life.
