Talk by Dr. Selina Busby

The Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre (C-SET) invites you to attend a talk by Dr. Selina Busby on Monday, August 12th from 2:00 to 4:00pm in RC 179.

Dr. Selina Busby is a professor of Applied and Social Theatre, as well as the author of the book Applied Theatre: A Pedagogy of Utopia.

As Dr. Busby states in the introduction to her book, Applied Theatre is based on “politics of dignity, articulation, equitable dialoge, deeply embedded partnerships, the construction of thirdspaces and an invitation to resist social and spatial injustice”. In this discussion she will problematize these concepts from the perspective of both research and practise and consider their practical application both theoretically and methodologically in a range of current projects in the UK, Mumbai, and New York.

We hope you will join us in-person or online to participate in this discussion.
