Conservatory Group Program Showcase - Day 2
The Conservatory Group Program Showcase is a multi-day event with performances including music, dance, and theatre from both youth and adult students studying at the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts.
Performances for DAY 2 will include the following (in performance order):
- The Conservatory Youth Cello Program includes two sections: one for brand new beginners ages 4-8 playing cello for the first time and one for students with a few years of private lesson experience who are looking to build friendships and to gain experience in an ensemble setting. These groups are led by Alaina Majewski.
- The Conservatory Adult Bagpipe Programs include classes for complete beginners playing bagpipes for the first time in addition to classes for amateur players who want a chance to keep playing their bagpipes outside of a band setting. These groups are led by Iain MacDonald.
- The Regina Community Orchestra welcomes youth, adult, and senior musicians interested in playing orchestral music in a fun and safe environment. The orchestra provides opportunity to develop musical skills, socialize with others, and perform in the wider community. This course is open to anyone ages 13+ without audition. The orchestra is directed by Adrian Casas, with support from Ryan Wheler.
There will be a short break between Adult Bagpipe Programs and Regina Community Orchestra to briefly reset the stage.
Tickets are $8.40 in advance or $10.50 at the door. Prices are inclusive of fees and taxes. Seating is not assigned.
