U of R Theatre Graduating Class at The Globe Theatre
The University of Regina is celebrating two historic firsts: the capstone production by the first graduating class of our groundbreaking BFA in Devised Performance and Theatre Creation program and our new partnership with the Globe Theatre.
Created by the graduating class and directed by UofR Theatre alumna Judy Wensel, What Was, What Will runs:
- March 11-14 and March 18-21 at 7:30 PM
- Friday, March 13 with additional matinee
- Friday, March 20, 1:00 PM
About the show:
In 1993, the World Wide Web was launched to the public, promising connection, access, and an open exchange of ideas. A generation later, nine 20-somethings, growing up in the shift from analog to digital, try to make sense of the information superhighway they inherited, questioning who they are, or who they believe themselves to be, and who they imagine they might become. Part party, part funeral, part revolution on the edge, this work moves between personal memory and collective experience, reckoning with what’s been lost and leaning toward what might still be found.
This is not simply a student showcase but a chance for our students to represent the University of Regina on a professional stage, in the heart of our city. We could not be prouder.
Tickets are $20. Reserve now at https://my.globetheatrelive.com/
