Introducing University Advancement & Communications

University Advancement & Communications is the University’s office responsible for serving external groups including alumni, donors, media and other engaged community members. However, as we also provide services to internal stakeholders including faculties, administrative and executive areas, the name External Relations did not accurately reflect the work we undertake on a daily basis.

University Advancement & Communications delivers:

Alumni and Community Engagement by connecting with and engaging the more than 74,000 University of Regina alumni and the community – locally, provincially, and nationally. 

Communications and Marketing by working with faculties and units across campus to promote our institution and build the University’s reputation in the community and beyond.

Development by increasing philanthropic support for the University in the form of annual gifts, major gifts, planned gifts and corporate and foundation gifts, advancing the University’s mission of teaching, research and public service.

How does this affect the media?

Communications and Marketing includes the University’s Media Relations unit which is your point of contact for all media enquiries. Enquires can be directed to:
