Media invitation: Opening of first nurse practitioner led Student Wellness Centre at a Canadian university

Members of the media are invited to join Dr. Jeff Keshen, University of Regina President and Vice-Chancellor, the Honourable Gene Makowsky, Minister of Advanced Education, and other officials at the grand opening of the University of Regina’s Student Wellness Centre. 

The new, state-of-the-art facility, located at 119 Paskwāw Tower, is unique among Canadian universities as the only clinic of its kind operated by a Faculty of Nursing. In addition to providing primary health care services for students, the Centre is anticipated to serve as a teaching and research facility for the Faculty of Nursing. 

Grand opening ceremonies will be held:

NOTE: Media are invited to attend a guided tour/photo opportunity of the Student Wellness Centre at 9:30 AM, at the location noted above, prior to the opening ceremonies.
