The EHN Guardians Scholarship
he EHN Guardians Scholarship was established by EHN Canada to provide assistance for a graduate (Master’s or PhD) student to enhance their research specialization in any form of addiction and related mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, moral injury and eating disorders in military personnel, Veterans and public safety personnel.

Eligibility
- Be registered as a full-time graduate student at a Canadian university.
- Be conducting research that has potential to improve the mental health of military personnel, public safety personnel or Veterans.
- Exhibit potential for a high-impact research proposal in any area of mental health, including any form of addiction and related mental health concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, moral injury and eating disorders.
- Demonstrate a high level of quality in proposed research methodology, and excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Preference will be given to students studying at one of CIMVHR’s member universities.

Research Impact:
Knowledge translation and exchange is strongly encouraged, like publishing research results from the Master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation in peer review journals. The successful candidate will be expected to seek out opportunities to collaborate with other CIMVHR researchers on at least one publication related to their research area.
In order to maximize research Impact, CIMVHR is encouraging, wherever possible, emerging scholars to adopt the Sex and Gender Equity in Research (SAGER) principles, as well as use an intersectional lens in their methodologies.
