FGSR - General Enhancements

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research provides general enhancements to recipients for national awards with a minimum value of $20,000 per year. Awards are up to the discretion of the Dean of FGSR.

Eligibility

The purpose of these enhancements is to celebrate and support students who have been awarded competative scholarship funding. This award is not available to students who have received interships or grants for industry partnership projects (for example Mitacs funding) as those are not competative scholarship awards and are instead considered work.

Master’s Students:

$3,000, one time, lump sum payment at beginning of the award.

PhD Students:

$5,000, one time, lump sum payment at beginning of the award.

Awards must be a minimum value of $20,000 per year.

Please note that awards that are $40,000 or higher are ineligible for the enhancement.

Application Information

Students must provide FGSR with the official award letter within one month of the start of the award.

Awards are up to the discretion of the Dean of FGSR.
