FGSR Opportunity Award
Eligibility
ELIGIBILITY:
Qualifications: Holders of these awards are required to be a fully-qualified, entering (be in their first semester) graduate student in their first Master’s degree program, in any discipline. Students must have previously completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Regina within the last two years.
Non-renewable: This award is not renewable and students can only hold this award one time in their graduate studies.
RATES OF SUPPORT: Up to ten (10) $2,000 scholarships will be awarded each year. If all awards are not awarded in Fall, the remainder will be awarded in Winter. The amount of the award can increase if there are matching funds available from the students Host Faculty.
REGISTRATION: Students must be registered in a graduate program part or full-time at the time of the award.
EMPLOYMENT: There is no restriction on employment while holding this scholarship.

Application Information
APPLICATION & PROCEDURES: Students will automatically be considered for this award provided they meet the qualifications outlined above. If there are more than ten students who meet the qualifications, the awards will be given to those students who meet the qualifications and have the highest GPA.
NOTIFICATION & PAYMENTS:
FGSR will manage the final review, awarding, notification and payments of all Awards. The successful awardees will be paid out directly to their bank account in the semester the award is given out.
All FGSR funding is subject to annual budgetary approval and up to the discretion of the Dean of FGSR.
