Internal Scholarships

The Department of English Graduate Scholarship was established in April 2024 to support incoming English graduate students with entrance scholarships to encourage promising applicants to enroll in one of the Department of English MA programs.

Eligibility

The Graduate Program Entrance Scholarship Fund will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Pursuing a Master of Arts, majoring in English or Creative Writing and English at the University of Regina;
- The award is to be presented to a quality applicant who wishes to become enrolled full time in the English Department MA program;
- The applicant demonstrates potential to thrive in the program and contribute to the experience of their cohort;
- Registered and remains registered in 6 credit hours in the semester the award is presented.

-Four (4) awards will be presented annually. Preference will be given to providing two (2) awards to the Creative Writing Stream and two (2) awards to the English Academic stream. If there are not enough eligible recipients in one stream, applicants may be chosen from either stream to a total of four (4) awards per year.
