Graduate Studies Completion Letter
Request Your Completion Letter
A Program Completion Letter is a letter confirming the successful completion of all academic requirements for your program. Some students may require a Program Completion Letter after finishing the last requirements of their graduate program prior to graduation for the following reasons:
- To apply for a Post-Graduate Work Permit
- For employment purposes
Program Completion Letters must be requested. They are not automatically sent to students.
In order to be eligible for a Completion Letter, students must meet the following requirements:
- Application for Graduation is Submitted. Submit an application for graduation online via UR Self-Service, if you have not already done so. Completion Letters will not be issued for students who have not applied for graduation.
- All Final Grades are Submitted. Check your UR Self-Service account to ensure all final grades are entered. For thesis/project/practicum/report students, final paperwork must have been received by FGSR.
- U of R Account is Current. All fees on your account must be paid.
Once you have completed the three steps above, you can submit your Request for Completion Letter. Once completed, the form can be sent directly to grad.defense@uregina.ca for processing.
Timelines
It is the student's responsibility to ensure all requirements listed above are met. Processing of Completion Letters will not occur until the requirements are met and will be processed in the order they are received.
