How far away is the University of Regina from downtown?

The University of Regina is located approximately 10 minutes south of downtown Regina and is a 15 minute drive from the Regina International Airport.

Can I, or my family, stay at the University of Regina even if I’m not part of a group?

Yes! We accommodate everyone from individual travelers and families to groups large and small.

When is the front desk open?

Our front desk is open 24 hours a day year-round. Cash is only accepted Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-4:00 pm during regualr office hours. Debit or credit card payments are accepted at all times. 

When can I check into my room?  Am I able to check in early?

Check in begins at 3:00pm on the day of your arrival. If you require early check in, please let us know in advance, and we will verify if early check in is available on your arrival date.

When am I expected to check out of my room?

Check out is at 11:00am. Our front desk at Kīšik Towers offers luggage storage if required. 

Where do we check in?

The front desk is located in Kīšik Towers. Please refer to the campus map for more information. 

How can I pay for my reservation?

We accept cash, debit, VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Please note that cash is only accepted during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:15am-4:00pm).

What is your cancellation policy?

For individual short-term reservations, you can cancel your reservation up until 48 hours prior to your arrival date. If you cancel your reservation with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged for one night (plus taxes). 

Groups will have our cancellation policy outlined in their contract. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Are there any age restrictions to stay on campus?

Any guests under the age of 19 must be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone.

Are there any wheelchair accessible rooms?

Am I able to stay for an extended period of time?

Yes! Please contact us for information on availability and rates.

Do you have internet access?

Yes, all spaces on campus have complimentary WiFi.

Do I need to pay for parking?  Where can I park my vehicle?

There is a daily charge for parking at the University of Regina. A parking pass can be purchased from our front desk at Kīšik Towers for $15.00/day or from Parking Services. There are also many meters located at various locations across campus which charge $2.00/hour. Parking lot locations can be found at Parking Services.

Complimentary parking is available in all M and Z areas between 5:00 pm and 8:00 am on weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays.

Is there regular bus service available at the University of Regina?

Yes, there are several bus routes that come onto campus. Please visit the City of Regina Transit website at https://www.regina.ca/residents/transit/ for specific route information, fares and schedules.

What do I do if the Hospitality Services website tells me that there are no rooms available on my dates?

Please contact us! Although your preferred room type may be unavailable during your dates, we will likely be able to accommodate you in another room type. 

Are there laundry facilities available?

Yes, we have card-operated laundry machines located in the laundry rooms in each building. Laundry cards can be purchased from the main floor of Kīšik Towers for $5.00, and then guests can load additional funds onto the card for washing/drying ($1.75/wash and $1.75/dry). Laundry facilities can be found at the following locations across campus:

  • Kīšik Towers: 2nd floor, East and West towers.
  • College West: 4th floor, Room 422
  • Paskwāw Tower:  2nd floor, Room 218.
  • Wakpá Tower:  2nd floor, Room 218.

Are there food services available on campus?

We have a variety of food outlets at the University of Regina that offer a wide range of food and drinks. The Global Village All-You-Care-To-Eat buffet located in the Dr. William Riddell Centre is a popular choice among guests. Please find a complete listing of locations and hours of operation here.

What kind of housekeeping service is provided?

All rooms are set with bed linens and towels. Individuals who are not staying as part of a group will have a light cleaning and towel exchange each day from Monday-Friday. Groups, and those staying for one week or longer, will have housekeeping offered on a frequency negotiated at the time of booking.
 
What kind of equipment is included in the equipped kitchens?
 
All kitchens have a full-sized fridge with freezer, microwave and stove. Hospitality Services also has a limited number of kitchen kits which include a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery (available for a nominal fee; based on availability).  If you require a ktichen kit during your stay, please request one when booking and we will have it installed in your kitchen prior to your arrival.
 

Is there a bank machine on campus?

There are a number of ATMs located across campus including the main floors of the Classroom Building, College West, and the Dr. William Riddell Centre. Please refer to the campus map
