Contacting Your Student

How can I contact my student?

  • Upon moving on-campus, your student will receive a Move-In Package. This will come in an envelope labeled on the outside with your student’s Room Number, Building Name, Telephone Number (there is one telephone per suite/apartment, not per bedroom) Mailbox Number and Street Address of campus.

  • Please ensure that you have this specific information in order to contact your student before you leave on move-in weekend as Housing Services can not contact a student on your behalf unless there is an emergency.

  • As most students rely on their mobile phones, many often do not answer their suite/apartment phone. Try texting or emailing your student if you can not touch base via their Housing phone number.

  • You may want to consider setting up a communication schedule with your student to ensure regular contact.

E-mail and your Student

When your student applied to live on campus, they were asked to list an e-mail address that we may forward important Housing information to. It is your student’s responsibility to ensure they check their e-mail account regularly for Houisng deadlines, updates and announcements.

If possible, please have your student list an e-mail address that is not a Hotmail or Live address. Hotmail & Live filters reject our correspondance and they may not receive important information and/or room offers. It is best to use a Gmail account, and add us as a contact. If your student must use a Hotmail or Live address, please have them mark housing.services@uregina.ca as a safe sender.
