Your Email Account is changing

When is my email changing?

  • As of May 6, 2024, at 4:30 PM all University of Regina Retiree GroupWise accounts will be moving to MS Outlook.
  • All your existing emails, folders, calendar items, contacts and tasks in GroupWise will be moved to Outlook.
  • Use your same username@uregina.ca and password to login into Outlook online or install the Outlook app on your device after May 6.
How will I be able to access the new MS Outlook email?
Will my username still be the same?
  • Yes, but you will need to sign in with username@uregina.ca
  • Just your username alone will no longer be sufficient.
Will my password still be the same?
  • Yes, your existing uregina account password will not change
What if I use Webmail and not GroupWise for email?

If you use Webmail to access your University of Regina email, please contact the IT Support Centre or if you come to campus for the upcoming in-person support we can assist you then (see below).

What do I use to Login to MS Outlook email?
  • Login with your username@uregina.ca and current password.
What if I have the email App on my cell phone?
If you have your @uregina.ca email setup on a mobile device, you will need to install the MS Outlook app and sign in.
What if I have my @uregina.ca email forwarded to another email address?
  • If you set up a rule in GroupWise to forward your email elsewhere, it will no longer be in place.
  • After your account has been converted, you will a need to access your @uregina.ca email via https://www.outlook.com or install the MS Outlook App and sign-in.
  • If you need to forward your @uregina.ca email to another address, there will be a webpage created for this purpose.
  • Contact IT Support if you require assistance.
What if I don't have GroupWise but I still get you U of R emails in another email account?
  • All U of R email will go to your new Outlook account.
  • If you have your @uregina.ca email forwarded to another email address, or if you read your UofR emails in another program (software), you need to login to Outlook (http://www.outlook.com) to view your emails.
  • Contact IT Support if you require assistance.
