Distinguished Alumni
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to an individual who has achieved professional excellence within his or her career, has given back to society and inspired others with leadership, and has contributed remarkable community or humanitarian service.
To be eligible for the award:
- A nominee must be an alumnus of the University of Regina and a graduate of the Faculty of Physical Activity Studies and/or the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies;
- A nominee's year of graduation must be a minimum of 10 years previous to the year of nomination;
- A nominee must be currently working or have worked in a related field including human kinetics, health promotion, gerontology, adapated movement science, sport and recreation, therapeutic recreation, and/or health studies.
The following alumni are NOT eligible to receive the award:
- Elected federal, provincial or municipal officials during the time they hold office;
- Serving members of the University of Regina Senate or Board of Governors;
- University of Regina honourary degree recipients, as this represents the highest honour bestowed by the University of Regina
- Current members of faculty or staff of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies
