Cavan Cunningham is a sessional instructor and professional actor with 40 years of experience performing on stage and in film & television. Cavan has taught the Acting for the Camera class since 2012 combining his years of performance, education and the practicality of other teachers like the “4 B’s” (Barr, Babson, Barton & Bennedetti...he didn’t plan it that way). Outside the Theatre Department, Cavan has applied is teaching to children and adult workshops and as a guest instructor in the Education department. Cavan is best known as “Mayor Fitzy” from his many years and iterations of Corner Gas (CTV) as well as several TV, film & stage productions across Canada. Cavan has earned a BA in English from SFU and a Certificate of Performance studying under acclaimed teacher Antony Holland. Cavan lives in Regina with family and dog.
