Student presentations on the Scarth Street Mall renewal

Release Date: March 29, 2023 10:50 AM

The Scarth Street Mall (F.W. Hill Mall) in Downtown Regina will soon be undergoing a revitalization. The pedestrian mall was created in 1975 and has been closed to vehicular traffic ever since. Public consultation will begin later this year to see whether the area should be opened up to vehicular traffic and what types of updates are desired/required by the community.

Undergraduate students from the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies – GES 346 Urban Planning course were tasked with coming up with proposals for the mall and will be making poster presentations on their proposals.

Media are welcome to attend the student’s presentations.
