University of Regina announces new Board of Governors; Adynea Russell elected as Board Chair
The University of Regina is pleased to announce that Adynea Russell, FCPA, FCA has been elected to serve as Chair of the Board of Governors, effective immediately. Russell was originally elected to the Board in July 2022 by the University of Regina Senate and has served as Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors, as well as Chair, Governance & Nominations Committee. She will replace outgoing Board Chair Cadmus Delorme.
Russell is a Partner in MNP’s Assurance Services group, based in the Regina office. She has held several leadership positions at the national level, most recently serving as MNP’s Vice-President of Assurance. With over 25 years of experience in public practice, she works closely with private enterprises of all sizes, delivering audits, reviews, compilations, tax planning, and strategic business advice.
Actively engaged in her profession and community, Russell currently serves as Chair of the CPA Saskatchewan Professional Practice Committee and previously represented CPA Saskatchewan on the University of Regina Senate. A proud alum of the University of Regina, she earned her Bachelor of Administration in 1995 while competing as a player on the Cougars women’s volleyball team.
The Board has also elected Kyle Addison as Vice-Chair. Addison was appointed to the Board by the Province of Saskatchewan in June 2023. He is the Chief Operating Officer of Mitchell Developments Ltd. and previously served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor at the City of Regina. He has an extensive record of volunteer work and community involvement, currently serving as Romania’s Honorary Consul to Saskatchewan, Past Chair of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the George Reed Foundation, and a board member of the McMorris Foundation. He is also a proud alum of the University of Regina, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2012.
