Interested in gardening but don't know where to begin? We’ve got you covered!
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to expand your gardening skills, we’re here to help you grow! We're excited to offer hands-on gardening workshops for anyone to learn urban gardening in May. In the meantime, we'll also be providing free seeds on May 1st, from 12 pm to 7 pm outside of the Riddell Centre to help you get started right away, no matter your experience level.
How It Works
This event is open to everyone around Regina and here is how it will work:
- Drop by anytime between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM – there’s no need to RSVP, just come when it works for you!
Sign up with your name and email to stay connected with us and receive updates on upcoming workshops. - Pick up to 10 packets of seeds – Each individual/family can choose up to 10 packets of a variety of different types of seeds, all free!

Our goal is to make gardening accessible to everyone in Regina, whether you’re growing your first plant or your tenth. We believe gardening can be easy, fun, and it is incredible for our enviroment.
Parking information
Lot 2 has number of public parking stalls that visitors must pay to park between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. It is located across from the Riddell Centre in the southwest corner of the Main Campus. There are also street parking outside of the Riddell Centre. Please note that time limit on parking is enforced. Do not park for longer than authorized.
Accessibility Information
The main entrance to the Riddell Center is physically accessible, and the building is serviced by several public transit routes. If you are taking paratransit, the bus drives up right to the front of the Riddell Center doors, and if by other it is approximately 1 minutes from the bus stops to the front of the Riddell building.
Washroom access: There are gendered washrooms including accessible stalls across the hall from the main doors. There is a gender-neutral washroom on the second floor of the Riddell Center just around the corner from the elevator near the main entrance.
