Intercultural Awareness I: Culture and Communication

How do we define culture and communication? How do they influence each other? Join this free workshop to learn the basics about intercultural competency and how these skills can help us be successful in our global community!

Cultural identities influence our day-to-day lives and interactions. In today's globalized society, it's important to understand how to successfully navigate communication with those around us, whether it's in the classroom, at work, or at public events. This workshop will cover several topics, including defining key terms, assessing how culture impacts communication styles, and how to approach day-to-day interactions through an inclusive and empathetic perspective.
