Changes to Professional Certificates in Fall 2026
Refreshed Certificate Requirements
We made changes to three of our professional certificates in 2026. But there's no need to worry if your certificate program is changing. You can continue your professional program without interruption.
Which Professional Certificates are Affected?
- Professional Leadership Certificate
- Professional Management Certificate
- Change Management and Innovation Certificate
Will My Prior Courses Count?
Yes! You can continue your progress in your program.
Everything you've taken so far will count toward your certificate completion.
What Are the Changes Being Made?
In Fall 2026, three programs will no longer have electives. They will be comprised of seven required courses.
Beginning in Fall 2026
- Only the new required courses for each certificate will be offered
- All elective options in the current programs will be discontinued
- Students will complete their certificate by finishing seven total courses using:
- Courses they have already taken, and
- Any of the new required courses needed to finish the seven-course program
Why Make Changes?
By moving to seven required courses for these three programs, we are able to offer clearer learning pathways and predictable scheduling with less course cancellations.
