URAA Alumni Legacy Housing Award

We are pleased to introduce a new initiative designed to support students with a direct family connection to University of Regina alumni. Presented by the University of Regina Alumni Association (URAA), this award aims to help offset the cost of on-campus housing while giving students the opportunity to build their own connection to the University community through the residence experience. It is our way of supporting those who are continuing a proud family tradition of attending the University of Regina. 

The 2026 Alumni Legacy Award, valued at $1,000, is intended to ease the financial burden of first-year living expenses for eligible students residing on campus. Multiple awards are available!

Research shows that students who live on campus during their first year are more likely to achieve academic success, feel a stronger sense of belonging, and develop meaningful connections within the campus community. We also recognize the important role families play in supporting students as they transition to post-secondary life. With this in mind, we invite you to nominate a student who you feel would benefit from living on campus. 

Eligibility Requirements 

To receive the award, students must: 

1) Be a first-time Resident with no prior housing bookings or assignments with UR Housing Services. 

2) Have a direct familial connection to a University of Regina alumnus or alumna. 

3) Meet all eligibility requirements for student residency in UR Housing. 

4) Complete all required application steps to reserve a room in UR Housing. 

5) Reside in UR Housing for both the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 academic terms*. 

*The $1,000 award will be automatically applied to the student’s UR Housing account during the Winter 2027 semester. 

Deadline for nominations:  July 22, 2026
