Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Amanda Worm, I am from Regina and my reserve is Kawacatoose First Nation.

What are you studying?

I am currently a first year student, taking Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources at the First Nations University.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Graduated with my Business Degree, starting my career as a Human Resource Representative. I see myself helping others in my position, and providing customers and clients with the best experiences possible when they come to my organization.

What makes you successful academically?

What makes me academically successful in University, is taking advantage of tutoring services, and extra help. It is also important that I put my best efforts in all of my studies.

What is/was your summer job? How did it help you with your educational goals?

I did not have a summer job relating directly to Business Administration. However I have accepted a summer internship this summer with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) as an Internal Auditor. This summer internship promises to be very rewarding and a great experience that will go towards my education.

What would be your message to those following in your footsteps?

To work hard, take advantage of all the opportunities the university offers, and don't be afraid to ask for help, because the university wants to help you succeed.
