Engineering Co-op Programs

Real-world engineering problems call for integrated, interdisciplinary solutions, so our Engineering Co-op students are generalists as well as specialists in one of five systems: Electronic Systems, Environmental Systems, Industrial SystemsPetroleum Systems, or Software Systems.

The systems approach produces mature, adaptable students with a good grounding in the knowledge and skills the future professional engineer needs in the workplace.

Our Engineering students have a strong base of technical knowledge. They can do the design and analysis necessary to produce a total working system. Their studies also give them the social, economic, and environmental awareness necessary for understanding how engineering technology impacts the whole society. That’s not all! Our students take more business classes than typical Engineering students do. They know the business side of Engineering.

All Engineering Co-op students begin their degree program with three academic terms. After that, they alternate four-month work terms with semesters in the classroom.
