What do I need to get into the Masters of Computer Science - Human -Centred Computing Co-op?
Students in this route awho are interested in pursuing the Co-op Designation must complete CS 700, 730, 731, 732, 733, 734, 735, and 736 before they can undertake any co-op terms. An application to the co-op designation may be made at the end of the third semester (after the completion of CS 700, 730, 731, 732, 733, and 734). A minimum average grade of 80% or higher must have been acheived on the courses taken in the first three semesters of the program, as well as maintained during the fourth semester.
Note: Acceptance to a Co-op work term is subject to the approval of the Co-op Grad Coordinator. Attaining a Co-op work term is a competitive process through the Co-op Office. Credit hours earned on a work term are extra to the credit hours required in this program.
How Many Work terms will I do?
Students must successfully complete two work terms; either two separate 4 month work terms or one 8 month work term during the fifth and sixth semester.
Do I need to write a Work Term Report?
Yes, you are expected to submit a work term report for each work term completed.
Am I charged a fee to do Co-op?
Yes you will be charged if you get a placement. Fees will be assessed in the semester that the student is registered in their work term. The Graduate Science Co-op fee is set as the same rate charged for undergraduate Co-op students.
