Tanya Talaga, Award-Winning Journalist and Author | Seven Fallen Feathers, The Knowing

The Faculty of Education will be hosting a public lecture featuring Keynote Tanya Talaga, Award-Winning Journalist & Author | Seven Fallen Feathers, The Knowing.

Presentation: The Knowing - one family’s journey

Based on her third, national best-selling book, The Knowing, Tanya Talaga creates an intimate experience for audiences as she tells the story of the search for her family’s matriarch, Annie Carpenter. The story of Annie represents every child and family member lost in Indian Residential Schools and Indian Hospitals. This is an intergenerational tale of survival and hope.

• This is a hybrid event which will take place in ED 191, Education Building and on Zoom. Following the presentation, light refreshments will be available in ED 228.
