Psychology Graduate Students' Association Anti-Racism Speaker Series: The Intersections of Race, Faith, and Queerness

The Psychology Graduate Students’ Association (PGSA) at the University of Regina invites you to join us for the next session in our Anti-Racism Speaker Series: The Intersections of Race, Faith, and Queerness

  • When: Tuesday, June 13th 2023 @ 12pm CST (11am PT, 2pm ET)
  • Where: Please register on Eventbrite for the Zoom link (please note the Zoom session will not be recorded)
  • Who: Samra Habib (they/them) is a Queer Muslim writer, photographer and activist. They are also the author of the best-selling and award-winning book We Have Always Been Here 
  • What: Samra will deliver a 30-minute presentation discussing how to be a 2SLGBTQ+ ally year-round, beyond Pride month; why it was important for them to connect with their faith as a queer person; and their use of photography as an accessible language to talk about intersectionality. Questions are welcome during the 30-minute Q+A portion!
  • For Whom: All professionals, students and members of the community are invited to join us! Please also feel free to invite your colleagues and friends to come learn together!
