Living Skies Student Film Festival

On behalf of the Department of Film and the festival student organizing committee, we invite the University and Regina community to the Living Skies Student Film Festival.

The Living Skies Student Film Festival will take place from March 6 to 8. Student films worldwide will be screened at La Cité (3727 Sagittaire Ln, in room 215), along with special events and gatherings. This year’s edition includes a special workshop and screening of Lowell Dean’s film, Die Alone. All screenings and workshops are free to attend.

This year’s festival highlights include:

  • U of R 50th Anniversary Film Alumni, Student and Faculty Mixer - FREE to the public
  • Thursday, March 6, 630 pm at La Cité, 3727 Sagittaire Ln, in room 215
  • Workshop and special film screening of Lowell Dean’s Die Alone, featuring Carrie-Anne Moss (Memento, The Matrix) and Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy, Superman) – FREE to the public.

Lowell Dean is a Canadian filmmaker known for his distinctive blend of genre, dark humor, and compelling storytelling. He gained early recognition for writing and directing the cult-hit WOLFCOP and its sequel ANOTHER WOLFCOP, which earned a loyal following during their theatrical releases across Canada and the USA.
