Book Talk: On Settler Colonialism in Canada: Relations and Resistances
Join us for a book talk with editor Emily Grafton on her new collection, On Settler Colonialism in Canada: Relations and Resistances, which brings together some of Canada’s foremost thinkers and storytellers including Alma Poitras, Martha Jane Robbins, Solomon Ratt, and Huma Haiderwho will discuss strategies for carving pathways to decolonial futures.
The editors and contributors will be appearing at the University of Regina’s Dr. John Archer Library & Archives (Regina and Wascana Rooms) on Thursday April 2nd at 12pm. Featured contributors to the collection will discuss approaches on seeking solutions outside of the settler state, honouring Treaty responsibilities, centering Indigenous knowledge systems, and making space for Indigenous self-determination.
After the book talk ends, refreshments will be served and books will be available for sale. The editors will be pleased to sign copies. Don't miss out on what promises to be a lively discussion!
