- A Celebration of Indigenous Healing, Research, Learning & Community
Formal Program: 1:00 p.m. | ED 220 (limited space available)
Please join us for a come-and-go afternoon celebrating three Indigenous-focused spaces in the Education Building and the people, programs, and initiatives connected to them. The event will feature:
-
- Nanâtawihowikamik Healing Lodge & Wellness Clinic (ED 220)
- Roots to Wellness Research Collaboratory Team Space (ED 256.1)
- Supporting Aboriginal Graduate Enhancement (SAGE) Space (ED 256)
The Open House will include a formal program and refreshments catered by Venue B, along with nearby booths highlighting related supports, services, and initiatives from across the University. Plans are also underway to showcase the Horse-based Healing program on the Academic Green, where attendees will have an opportunity to meet and engage with the horses, offered by HMS Learning through Equine in partnership with Roots to Wellness Research Collaboratory. An Elder’s Lounge will be available.
Guests will have opportunities to connect with team members, learn about the work happening in each space, and tour the spaces themselves.
Together, these spaces and initiatives support Indigenous wellness, student success, research, community, connection, and belonging at the University of Regina and reflect the University’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation.
