Art for Lunch: Mackenzy Vida: Pour l’amour de la gravure // For the love of printmaking

Please join the Department of Visual Arts this Friday for Art for Lunch. We are very happy to welcome multidisciplinary artist Mackenzy Vida, alumni of the Department of Visual Arts.

Mackenzy Vida (she/her) is a multidisciplinary, francophone artist based in Regina, SK, on Treaty 4 territory, born in Tkaronto (Toronto, ON). She works primarily in illustration, painting and printmaking. Deeply influenced by art therapy from a young age, she is now committed to making art accessible through workshops and community projects. Her visual language, characterized by expressive linework, allows her to explore the compulsion to draw. Vida will be representing Canada at Les Jeux de la Francophonie in Armenia in 2027, a showcase for the creativity and talent of young artists on an international level. She is a graduate of the University of Regina’s visual arts program.

Date and Time: Friday, October 16, 2026, Noon-1:00pm

How to connect: RC 050 (lower level of Visual Arts area in the Riddell Centre)

Additional Information: Art for Lunch is a free speaker series and core curriculum presented by the Department of Visual Arts and the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance.
