Book Launch - The Lost Reserve: The Taking and Remaking of the Chacachas Treaty Nation

Join the University of Regina Press on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026 at 7:00 P.M for the launch of The Lost Reserve: The Taking and Remaking of the Chacachas Treaty Nation, co-authored by historian Kenton Storey and the Chacachas Treaty Nation.

The Lost Reserve offers an unprecedented look inside a 150 year-long battle to reclaim stolen land. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the how the Chacachas resisted, organized, and eventually won a judgement in a more-than-twenty-year-long court case that affirmed the continued existence of the Chacachas Treaty Nation—and yet, they remain in administrative limbo without reserve lands. Treaty Commissioner of Saskatchewan Kathy Walker will be in conversation with Chief Charlie Bear of the Chacachas Treaty Nation and historian Kenton Storey. 

This book launch is a free in-person event in the Shu-box Theatre and doors open at 6:30pm.

A reception will follow, where refreshments will be served, and books will be available for sale which the authors will be pleased to sign.
