Associate Professor Holly Fay, Department of Visual Arts

Holly Fay’s art practice emphasizes the collective, intertwined aspect of all natural phenomena. Working across various media, with drawing at the core, her work focuses on phenomenology and the lived environment, and the more-than-human. By distilling meaning through direct media and processes, she creates works that invite reflection on the essential elements of the natural world that sustain us. 

Holly will deliver a presentation on her developing body of drawing and photographic work centred on the vibrant plant life of the grasslands. She will also discuss drawing as a practice, a medium, and a philosophical approach to understanding the world.
