Presence in Place: Exploring Land-Based Stewardship
You are invited to Presence in Place, a series of free workshops exploring our relationship with land through walking, reflection, conversation, and artful practices.
Facilitated by Kathryn Ricketts, Tanya Dahms, and Aina Vinokurova, and supported by the Humanities Research Institute, these workshops invite us to slow down, pay attention to the places we move through every day, and consider what it means to care for land and for one another.
Each workshop begins with a short walk along Wascana Lake, followed by a return to the studio in the Faculty of Education, where participants will engage in arts-based reflection and share their experiences.
Through sensory awareness and a heightened presence to place, we will explore questions of belonging, responsibility, connection, and purposeful stewardship.
All workshops are free and open to University of Regina students, faculty, staff, and community members. Space is limited, so registration is required.
