About the Show

We get what we get. Precocious children and benevolent strangers with questionable motives. Frenemy co-workers and obligations to dying relatives. Having to be thankful for dead-end jobs and being consumed by the sound through the wall from our neighbours. This is what we get.

What We Get is a new devised work created by the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year Theatre Department cohorts and directed by the year’s University of Regina Theatre Department’s Distinguished Alumnus, Jayden Pfeifer. Sampling texts from the works of celebrated Canadian playwright Morris Panych, the ensemble activates themes of labour, space, solitude, the process of work and where it takes us.
