Community discussion examines links between inequality and well-being

Members of the media are invited to a discussion about the links between income inequality and the decision-making processes leading to behaviours like gambling and risk-taking. The talk, entitled “Mind the Gap: How Inequality Facilitates Poorer Social and Health Outcomes”, will be presented by Dr. Sandeep Mishra, assistant professor of organizational behaviour and in the Faculty of Business Administration and associate member of the Department of Psychology at the University of Regina.

Dr. Mishra is an expert in the areas of judgment and decision-making, behavioural economics, and health and well-being, and his work seeks to understand the preventable factors contributing to risk-taking behavior and the negative consequences it can have on individuals and communities. This talk is intended as a resource for community-based personnel looking to provide local programming and support.
