U of R President’s annual State of the University address to Chamber of Commerce

University of Regina President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vianne Timmons, will be speaking about the vital links between the community and the U of R at a luncheon of business and community leaders.

Timmons will be presenting the fourth annual State of the University address on Thursday, January 25, 2018, to the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce as part of its 2018 Luncheon Series.

In last year’s address, Timmons talked about how the U of R contributes to the larger community, including a half a billion dollars in GDP impact in Saskatchewan each year.

This year, she is turning the tables and talking about how the community helps to make the University a success. She will explain how the provincial motto “From Many Peoples, Strength” is central to the success of the University of Regina and the larger community.

Following the formal presentation, President Timmons and CEO of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, John Hopkins, will be available for interviews.
