University of Regina to host ninth annual Inspiring Leadership Forum

The theme of this year’s ninth annual University of Regina Inspiring Leadership Forum is Scaling New Heights. The Forum provides an opportunity for the sold-out audience of 600 hear the inspirational stories of internationally-renowned leaders.

The three keynote speakers are:

  • 9:15 a.m. – Manjit Minhas – Founder of Minhas Breweries, Distillery and Winery (9th largest brewery in the world), CBC’s Dragons’ Den judge, and one of Chatelaine Magazine’s entrepreneurs of the year
  • 11:00 a.m. – Barb Stegemann – Founder of The 7 Virtues perfume, bestselling author of The 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queen, recipient of the Women's Innovator Award
  • 3:00 p.m. – Bonnie Brooks – First female CEO of Hudson’s Bay Company, past editor-in-chief of Flare, and recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal of philanthropy

Starting at 1:30 p.m., the Saskatchewan Leaders Panel will be moderated by Brenda Lucki, Assistant Commissioner, Commanding Officer, RCMP Depot Division. Panel participants are:

  • Becki Bitternose – Owner of PlayBuffalo, a fashion line that was featured at the 2016 New York Couture Fashion Week
  • Pam Klein – President of Phoenix Group, Saskatchewan’s leading advertising agency; member of several boards and advisory groups
  • Aimee Schulhauser – Owner, Schoolhaus Culinary Arts, Tangerine: The Food Bar, and Tangerine in the Valley

Media are invited to attend a 15-minute scrum with the keynote speakers in the Speakers’ VIP Room, meeting room 4, starting at 12:30 p.m.
