Public forum examines the use of unmanned aerial vehicles

Members of the media are invited to the latest installment in the ongoing discussion series Open Minds: Debating Public Issues. The series, which brings academics and members of the community together to debate hot button issues, will discuss the public and private use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in a forum entitled ‘Keeping an eye on things: the future of drones in Canada’.

Panelists include Dr. Raman Paranjape, Professor of Electronic Systems Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Regina; Corporal Eldon Hoffman, Coordinator of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Unit for the RCMP’s ‘F’ Division; and Mr. Joe Barnsley, Aviation Lawyer and Partner at Pitblado Law LLP in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
