Levene Graduate School of Business Unveils Innovative MBA

News Release Release Date: July 2, 2013 10:40 a.m.

The Levene Graduate School of Business at the University of Regina announces the launch of the new Levene MBA, following a two-year review and consultation with industry and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.

The Levene MBA provides the opportunity to specialize in International Business or Engineering Management and may be completed in one year of study. All Levene MBA students will participate in an international study tour that is built into the tuition and takes students abroad to experience managerial practice in an international context.

The new program builds on the strong Levene GSB international network, enabling graduate students to be involved in joint consulting projects, such as with the Estonian Business School or Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) and organizations including Kalev Chocolates and STX Finland.

Recently, University of Regina students traveled to Finland to work with Finnish shipbuilding company STX. “Working with students from Levene Graduate School of Business and TUAS on a real STX issue has given me realistic thinking by third-party points of view, which has been very beneficial for the actual management of STX,” said Kyung-Yeol Chun, senior vice-president of STX Finland.

Levene GSB is a growing destination for upwardly mobile individuals looking for advanced training in management and international business. The Levene faculty prepare students to lead in business through critical reflection, personal connection, and consideration for the global community.
