Growing U of R research at a unique community garden

The public is invited to take part in a unique research project at the community garden in Estevan on June 15.

“It Takes a Village...Growing Together for Promoting Healthy Aging in Place,” is a research project funded by the Fulbright Canada-RBC Eco-Leadership Program. The research is a partnership between Fulbright and the University of Regina’s Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies. 

This age-friendly community garden is being created in Estevan in collaboration with the Sun Country Health Region and a number of community partners.

You are welcome to meet the lead researcher in the project, Dr. Shanthi Johnson of the University of Regina’s Kinesiology Department, as well as a number of people from the community who will play key roles in the success of this unique garden project.
