Computer Setting Recommendations for a Great Virtual Experience

To ensure your best conference experience, before you register, please take special note of the following computer setting recommendations:

We are using a virtual platform to present this year’s Inspiring Leadership Forum. Prior to the event, all registered participants will receive a secure web link to the event. To optimize your experience, we recommend the following settings. Please ensure you are comfortable with these settings before registering for the event.

  1. Recommended: Use Google Chrome, as this browser provides the best functionality. Firefox also works. Safari is limited.
  2. Recommended: Check that you have a stable internet connection.
  3. Recommended: Disconnect from your VPN (if you have one) and remove any firewall restrictions. VPNs make streaming heavy video content difficult. Firewalls can prevent certain web applications from working properly.
  4. Required: Allow access to your computer’s mic and camera for networking video chats.
  5. Recommended:  Give yourself ample time to log in for the event to ensure your settings are set properly. We recommend logging in at least 15 minutes before the event start time.

The easiest way to access the virtual platform for the Inspiring Leadership Forum is via a personal device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.). We will be hosting a platform preview day with all attendees a few weeks before the event to enable you to test your settings, get assistance if needed, and limit any issues on the event day.
