WESK Procurement Workshop Pt3

Overview:

Join the Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK) and GATE for a hybrid workshop/webinar series designed to equip women entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully pitch their businesses, navigate and secure high-scale procurement contracts, and establish strategic international export partnerships.

The workshop is a hybrid event taking place in 3 installments:

  1. Kick-off Webinar:
    1. Speakers:
      • Gabrielle Grubka- Trade Commissioner, Embassy of Canda, Washington DC: International exporting and how to get started
      • Daisy Truong or Jana Radziewicz- Public Services and Procurement Canada - Western Region: Federal procurement how to get started and the various contract levels
      • Allison O’Rielly- Supplier Relationship Management Specialist, SaskPower: Procurement processes and value of women as suppliers
      • Dr. Ellen Farrell- InvestorReady, Investor Q+A: Owning the conversation when speaking with investors and potential partners
  2. Build Your Business Workshop (In person):
    1. Thursday, October 24 at College Avenue Campus in Room CB308
    2. 30 min break out
      • Dr. Ellen Farrell on Owning conversation and tactics to practice/ pivot the conversation or keep the conversation on your business
    3. 45 min small group break out
      • Group A: Pitch Techniques to engaging investors
      • Group B: Procurement process and how to elevate your registered supplier profile, where to look for contracts, how to put your best business foot forward
    4. 45 min small group break out
      • Group B: Pitch Techniques to engaging investors
