Fire Extinguisher Training Workshops

Health & Safety is pleased to offer Fire Extinguisher Training workshops for faculty and staff. Each workshop provides participants with a safe environment to practice the proper use of a fire extinguisher in realistic fire scenarios using our fire extinguisher simulator.

Members of our campus community will be provided with essential fire safety skills as well as other workshop topics including:

Different classes of fires
Types of fire extinguishers and their uses
The PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep)

Each interactive workshop is one hour in length with a limit of 10 participants, so submit your registration form now!

Winter 2026

How to Register

Complete the Fire Extinguisher Training Registration Form below. Please allow two to three business days for Health and Safety to process your registration. A calendar invite that includes workshop location and date will be sent to your official UofR email address as confirmation of your registration.
