Fire Extinguisher Workshops

Fire Extinguisher Training Workshops

Health & Safety is pleased to offer Fire Extinguisher Training workshops for students, faculty, and staff! Each workshop will allow participants to practice the proper use of a fire extinguisher in a safe environment using our fire extinguisher simuulator for realistic fire scenarios. Other workshop topics include:

Different classes of fires
Types of fire extinguishers and their uses
The PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep)

Each interactive workshop is one hour in length with a limit of 10 participants, so submit your registration form now!

Winter 2026

Monday, January 26 - 2:00 to 3:00 pm
Tuesday, February 24 - 2:30 to 3:30 pm
Friday, March 27 - 10:00 to 11:00 am
Wednesday, April 8 - 10:30 to 11:30 am
Thursday, April 23 - 1:30 to 2:30 pm

How to Register

Complete the Fire Extinguisher Training Registration Form below. Please allow two to three business days for Health and Safety to process your registration. A calendar invite that includes workshop location and date will be sent to your official UofR email address as confirmation of your registration.

If you must cancel your confirmed registration, please email health.safety@uregina.ca as soon as possible.
