Fire Extinguisher Training Workshops

Health & Safety is excited to announce the return of our popular Fire Extinguisher Training Workshops!

Each interactive workshop is one-hour in length and provides faculty and staff with the opportunity to develop practical fire safety skills in a safe and controlled environment. Using our fire extinguisher simulator, participants will gain hands-on experience extinguishing realistic fire scenarios while building the confidence needed to respond effectively in an emergency.

Workshop participants will also learn:

  • The different classes of fires and how they behave
    • The types of fire extinguishers and when to use them
    • The PASS technique: Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep
    • How to respond safely and confidently during the early stages of a fire emergency

Whether you're looking to refresh your fire safety knowledge or will be learning these important skills for the first time, this workshop provides a valuable opportunity to enhance your emergency preparedness!  

A certificate of completion will be sent to each participant (official UofR email address) within three business days of attending a a Fire Extinguisher Training Workshop.

Complete the Fire Extinguisher Training Registration Form below.  Please allow two to three business days for Health and Safety to process your registration.  A calendar invite will be sent to your official UofR email with workshop location.

If you must cancel your confirmed registration, please email health.safety@uregina.ca as soon as possible.
