2SLGBTQIAP+
The University of Regina, in partnership with UR Pride Centre, aim to make living on campus as inclusive as possible. This means that all students should feel safe and supported, regardless of sexual orientation, romantic orientation, gender, gender expression or intersex status.
In Fall 2018, UR Pride introduced an initiative called the Colourful Campus House program for queer, trans, intersex and allied students. This program allows 2SLGBTQIAP+ students to apply for student housing that falls under a GSD Living-Learning Community with Housing Services at the University of Regina.
The University of Regina has allocated two six-bedroom apartment-style residences in the newly renovated College West building to UR Pride Centre’s Colourful Campus House initiative. In partnership with the University, we’re confident these residences will feel like home for 2SLGBTQIAP+, and allied students at the University of Regina.
In addition to offering students the opportunity to apply for one of the 6 vacancies, the University of Regina is also encouraging 2SLGBTQIAP+ and allied students to apply for a housing award to help subsidize the cost of living on campus.
How to Apply
Every fall, starting July 1st, UR Pride will accept applications for the Colourful Campus House. To apply for Colourful Campus House, visit www.urpride.ca/housing, fill out the application and submit it to housing@urpride.ca or in person.
There is an option on the application form to also apply for a bursary to subsidize the cost of living on campus.
