Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing!

As we embark on the next decade, I am thrilled to introduce our newly minted 2024-2034 Strategic Plan, Unbounded: Connecting Learning and Life. This plan is a testament to our commitment to advancing nursing education and research excellence.

Our vision is to work together to enhance the well-being of all. We aim to build a nursing community that provides exceptional learning environments, recognizing individual talents and gifts while honoring the interconnectedness of nursing, health, the person, and the environment.

Our strategic priorities, or Primary Intentions, will guide us in this journey:

Engage in and Develop Reciprocal Relations: We are committed to better understanding our relational impact with students, community, staff, and faculty.

Generate Curiosity to Investigate Influential Questions: Thought leadership is a driving force within a university setting. To be an effective thought leader, knowledge translation and dissemination activities are critical.

Value the Connectedness between the Environment, the Person, Health, and Nursing: Nursing’s metaparadigm emphasizes interdependent relations among the environment, humans, health, and nursing.

Dismantle Oppressions, Racism, and Hate: We are committed to improving educational and nursing practices through embedding equity, diversity, inclusivity, anti-racism, reconciliatory, and decolonization practices within our teaching, research, and administrative activities.

Through creating a community where we all truly belong and feel welcome, opportunities will be available for students, faculty, and staff to thrive. We believe in the importance of honoring who we are, where we are, where we have been, and where we are going. Our strength, wisdom, and courage lie within our relationships and interconnectedness.

We invite you to join us on this exciting journey as we shape the future of nursing education and research together.

Go far, Together.

Allons loin, Ensemble.
