Data Governance Council

The Data Governance Council (DGC) is accountable to the University of Regina for the effective oversight and control over all data within the systems architecture, producing specific proposed recommendations on how Data Governance and data quality can be improved to meet the required standards to enable the achievement of the University’s strategic goals.

Representation on the DGC includes the Academic, Research and Administrative sides of the University, covering key data categories such as student data, faculty / employee data, and financial data as well as incorporate key organizational enabling functions like Information Services (IS) and the Office of Institutional Research (OIR).
