The University of Regina has developed formal agreements with a number of recognized post-secondary institutions. These agreements are designed to facilitate the transfer of credits for students who have completed specific programs at partner institutions, allowing them to continue their education seamlessly at the University of Regina. Saskatchewan Polytechnic

Arts

Graduates of the Resource & Environmental Law Diploma with a minimum average of 60% may receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit towards the Bachelor of Arts in Resource & Environmental Studies.

Business

Graduates of the Business Certificate or Diploma can receive transfer credit towards the Bachelor of Business Administration. A GPA of 65% and a grade of 60% in each course is required to be considered for transfer credit. Education

Graduates of the Early Childhood Educaiton Diploma with a minimum average of 60% may be eligible to receive 30 credit hours of transfer credit to the Bachelor of Education Elementary. (under review)

Graduates of the Educational Assistant Certificate with a minimum average of 60% may be eligible to receive 30 creit hours of transfer credit to the Bachelor of Education Elementary. (under review)

Kinesiology and Health Studies

Graduates of the Therapeutic Recreation Diploma, on or after June 1, 2023, with a minimum GPA of 60%, will receive 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Studies, Therapeutic Recreation major.

Graduates of the Recreation and Tourism Management Diploma will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit toward the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Studies, Sport and Recreation Management program, effective 2023.

Graduates of the Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma may receive 60 credit hours of transfer credit towards to the Bachelor of Health Studies.

Graduates of the Dental Hygiene Diploma may receive 60 credit hours towards to the Bachelor of Health Studies.

Graduates of the Health Information Management Diploma may receive 60 credit hours towards to the Bachelor of Health Studies.

Graduates of the Therapeutic Recreation Diploma may receive 60 credit hours of transfer credit towards the Bachelor of Sport & Recreation Studies.

MAP

Graduates of the Architectural Technology Diploma in Building Sciences or Interior Design with a minimum average of 60% will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit toward the Bachelor of Design, effective January 2026.

Graduates of the Engineering Design & Drafting Diploma with a minimum average of 60% will receive 60 credits hour of block transfer credit to the Bachelor of Design.

Graduates of the Graphic Communications Diploma with a minimum average of 60% will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit to the Bachelor of Design.

Graduates of the Interactive Design & Technology Diploma with a minimum average of 60% will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit to the Bachelor of Design.

Graduates of the Media Production Diploma with a minimum average of 60% will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit to the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production.

Nursing

Gradutes of the Licensed Practial Nursing Diploma will receive 36 credit hours of transfer credit to the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science Nursing. Students are required to have a grade to 60% in each course to be eligible for transfer credit.

Gradutes of the Registered Psychiatric Diploma will receive 45 credit hours of transfer credit ot the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science Nursing. Students are quired to have a grade of 60% in each course to be eligible for transfer credit.

Science

Graduates of the Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma with a minimum average of 60%+ will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit to the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science.

Graduates of the Integrated Resource Management Diploma with a minimum average of 60% will receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit to Science or Arts for the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology.

Graduates of the Chemical Technology Diploma with a minimum average of 60% may receive 60 credit hours of block transfer credit for the Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology.

Social Work 

Graduates of the Child and Youth Care Diploma completed after April 2026 with a minimum GPA of 70% will receive 45 credits.

Graduates of the Mental Health Addictions Counselling or the Child & Youth Care Diploma with a minimum average of 70% will receive 45 credit hours of transfer credit toward the Bachelor of Social Work.

Lakeland College

Education

Graduates of the Early Childhood Education Certificate on or after April 30, 2023, with a minimum PGPA of 2.0, will receive a maximum of 15 credit hours towards the Bachelor of Education, Elemenary Program.

Graduates of the Early Childhood Education Diploma with a minimum grade of 2.0 will receive 30 credit hours of transfer credit for the Bachelor of Education Elementary.

Graduates of the Educational Assistant Certificate or the Early Childhood Education Certificate with a minimum grade of 2.0 admitted between April 2023 and August 31, 2028 will receive 15 credit hours toward Elementary Education.

Social Work

Graduates of the Child and Youth Care Counsellor Diploma, completed on or after June 2024 with a grade point average of 2.7, will receive 30 transfer credit hours. Students are required to completed the required courses of the Pre Social Work year and meet the minimum admission requirements to apply to the Bachelor of Social Work.

Science

Graduates of the Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation Diploma with a minimum graduating average of 60%, will receive 60 credit hours toward either the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology or the Conservation and Restoration Ecology program.

Medicine Hat College

Business

Graduates of the Business Diploma, on or after September 1, 2021, can receive transfer credit towards the Bachelor of Administration or Bachelor of Business Administration. Students are required to have a GPA of 65% and a grade of 60% in each course is required to be considered for transfer credit.

Graduates of the Social Work Diploma with a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 70% will receive 60 credit hours of transfer credit for the Bachelor of Social Work

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT)

Kinesiology

Graduates of Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma, on or after April 1, 2021, with a 2.0 GPA or higher, are eligible for 57 credits towards the Bachelor of Kinesiology, Human Kinetics program.

Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT)

Business

Graduates of the Business Diploma, on or after September 1, 2021, can receive transfer credit towards the Bachelor of Administration or Bachelor of Business Administration. Students are required to have a GPA of 65% and a grade of 60% in each course is required to be considered for transfer credit.
