Eddie Goldenberg Research Chair

The Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada program was a one-time initiative of the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat (TIPS) in 2026, designed to attract world-leading research talent to Canadian postsecondary institutions. The Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada program supports institutions in attracting world-leading researchers whose work will help build a stronger, more resilient Canada. Chairholders are expected to drive the translation of discoveries into applications, commercialization and social and economic benefits for Canada and the world, while also developing the next generation of highly qualified personnel.
